Getting kicked out of Team India
Shaw sheds light on the disappointment he faced when he was left out of the India squad. Unsure of the reason for his exclusion, he was told it could be related to his physical condition. “When I was dumped [from the Indian team], I didn’t know the reason. Someone said it might be fitness. But of course I came here [to Bengaluru] and passed all tests at the NCA, scored points again and returned to the T20 team. But again, I was unlucky in the West Indies. I’m disappointed but we just have to move on. I can’t do anything, I can’t fight anybody,” Shaw said.
“As a person, I just like to be in my own zone. People say a lot about me. But those who know me know how I am. I don’t have any friends, I don’t like myself. make friends . That’s what’s happening with this generation. You can’t share your thoughts with anyone else. If you ask me personally, it’s very scary. Darr lagta hai aajkal to share my thoughts . Agle din social media mein aa jaata hai (I’ I’m afraid to share my thoughts. Somehow it all comes back on social media. I have very few friends, only a few friends, and even with them I don’t share everything, just a few things,” Shaw added.
Shaw also explained why he likes to be alone: ”I say things frankly. Before, when someone spoke to me nicely, I opened up easily. Later, I learned that someone said the same thing behind my back. “Not once, it’s happened many times. But I don’t care now. I figured out for myself that this world works differently.”
“I feel like the concept of best friend was created by us. ‘He’s my best friend’. A ‘friend’ is fine, but there are no such thing as ‘best friends’. I have friends too, I’m a friend too, but best friend – you won’t share everything with them. You won’t give them your PIN, will you? They say “the best friend is the one who shares “We can’t share all of that, right? Yeah, I have a couple of friends who come to my room sometimes. We play PlayStation, FIFA, or just chill,” Shaw added.

Future goals
Shaw shared his ultimate dream – to play for India for 12-14 years and win the World Cup. “All the hard work is just for that. That’s the only dream – I want to play, at least 12-14 for India. I want to win the World Cup for India. That’s where [one big goal], I have to achieve this in my life. I have to work hard and score points. It’s the only way to get there. I’m trying, let’s see,” said the 2018 U-19 World Cup-winning captain.
